My hideaway in the middle of the city
Cane-line, the danish manufacturer of high-quality furniture for outdoor living lifestyle, aim to inspire. For their new Outdoor 2018 catalogue, they asked me how I would create my own personal exteriorstyle in my urban roofgarden – with furniture and accessories made to last. I love nature – and being outdoor. Here on the roof in the middle of the city, I have created an oasis where I can retreat, just two steps up my bedroom. I enjoy it all year round; a calm moment in the sun with a cup of coffee, with a good book under a warm plaid when it’s chilly – or having a nice barbeque with friends and family. The outdoor interior is very important for me. It`s telling a story I love to be a part of. Cane-line meets all my requirements for aesthetics, quality and comfort that looks great. I work as an professional with interiorstyling and all sorts of visual communications. Outdoor furniture must be able to stand outside year around – both when the sun bounces or rain gives a shower. I like mixing materials and colors, putting them together to my very own personal style with lots of contrasts. Gray to green, coarse knit to wood and textiles, metal with glass.
Moments Lounge with its clean elegance compliment the green wilderness out here in jars and pots, which I allow to grow “off the beaten track”. I find the sofas super delicious and my habit re-decorating is supported – they`re easy to move around to a long peace of furniture in case we’re many who needs to relax. A pair of easy-stacked olivegreen chairs from the Copenhagen series bind nature’s colors together with modern shape and function. My absolute favorite is the Parc Rocking Chair, retro and modern-in-one with teak wood and black-painted steel – it’s easy to move around seeking the sun – and for a pop-up cozyness in my livingroom, like all Cane-lines assortment – with low maintenance!
